Although this face cream has an oil base, it hydrates the skin without leaving an oily residue.  It has a creamy and thick consistency infused with antibacterial and skin supporting properties; leaving the skin feeling soft and healthy.

I live in Canada and I have to use different creams for different seasons.  This is my summer cream.  It's lightweight and perfect for my skin’s tendency to get a little oily during the hot months.

HOW TO MAKE YOUR OWN

ALOE & OIL FACE CREAM

Alright... let’s get to it!

Ingredients & Materials

  • One 4 oz. Glass Jar

  • 1 oz Rosehip Seed Oil

Rosehip seed oil is moisturizing and promotes the reduction of dark circles, scars, and fine lines.              It’s also exfoliating and brightens skin tone.  Rosehip seed oil can promote collagen formation and help protect the skin against sun damage.  It supports against inflammation and skin ailments such as eczema and psoriasis.

  • 4 oz Aloe Vera Gelly

Aloe Vera Gelly is moisturizing and can soothe irritated, dry, and flaky skin.  It supports against acne, dark circles, puffiness and helps fade blemishes.  I recommend using Lily of the Desert Aloe vera gelly.  It’s thicker and mixes with the oils far better than pure raw aloe gelly.

Essential oils I like to use is:

  • 10 drops of Ylang Ylang essential oil

  • 10 drops of Geranium essential oil

  • 5 drops of Tea tree essential oil

Ylang Ylang Essential Oil

Supports the reduction of inflammation, stress, and anxiety.  It also promotes healthy blood circulation.

Geranium Essential Oil

Supports hormones balances, cell growth, blood circulation, and against inflammation and wrinkles.  It can help relieves stress and the effects of menopause.  It is antibacterial and a natural deodorant

Tea Tree Essential Oil

Is antibacterial, antifungal, and supports the skin against inflammation.

Instructions

  1. Add rosehip seed oil and aloe vera gelly to a bowl.  Then add, ylang-ylang, geranium, and tea tree essential oils and stir.

  2. Use a hand blender for quicker results.

  3. Stir vigorously until the mixture is thick and of a cream consistency.

  4. Add mixture to a 4 oz. glass jar.

  5. And expect a yellow color to your cream when using Lily of the Desert aloe vera gelly.

  6. Store cream in a cool dark place.

  7. Use within 3 months for best moisturizing and scent benefits.

And yes...it’s just that easy!
