This recipe is an easy alternative to commercial dry shampoos due to its natural ingredients.

When I straighten my hair, this dry shampoo extends its life through its amazing moisture absorbing abilities.

Cocoa, Cinnamon, and Charcoal Powders

The above powders serve as colorants.

Instructions

  1. Mix the ingredients of your preferred recipe in a bowl and stir.

  2. Add mixture to 4 oz. glass mason jar.

  3. Apply the mixture to the roots of your hair with a makeup brush.

  4. Store in a cool and dry space.

Allow for about 2 hours for the powder to absorb into hair before styling.  Or you can apply it the night before.  Just ensure you cover your hair to protect your sheets.  Also, be careful when using charcoal, it can stain fabrics.  It is important to note that amounts can be adjusted depending on the shade of your hair.  Remember, less is more.  You can always apply more dry shampoo as needed.

And it’s just that easy!
