HOW TO MAKE YOUR OWN
HAIR SPRAY
This recipe is great if you’re looking for a hair spray with only natural ingredients. It’s light and does the trick!
All right... let’s get to it!
Ingredients & Materials
-
1 cups of Water
-
2 Tbsp. White Sugar
Sugar is the holding agent in the spray.

-
1 Tbsp. of Rubbing Alcohol or Vodka
Alcohol preserves the spray.
Essential Oils I Like To Are:
-
Lavender essential oil
-
Rosemary essential oil
Lavender Essential Oil
Lavender can induce calm, improve blood circulation, and is an antifungal.
Rosemary Essential Oil
Rosemary can improve blood circulation, increase mental clarity, and is antibacterial.
Both oils promote hair growth.
Instructions
-
Bring water to a light boil and then add sugar.
-
Allow mixture to cool then add alcohol and preferred essential oils.
-
Place spray into an 8 oz. amber plastic PET spray bottle.
You can adjust the sugar amounts depending on how strong you want the hold to be. But don’t add too much or the spray will become sticky. Store in a cool and dry space.

It’s just that easy!
