HOW TO MAKE YOUR OWN

THERAPEUTIC MOUTH WASH

This mouth wash is antibacterial and antiseptic.  It’s great for overall oral health and can soothe minor mouth issues.

All right... let’s get to it!

 

Ingredients & Materials

  • 8 oz. Amber Plastic PET Bottle

  • 6 oz. of Water

  • 2 oz. of 3% Hydrogen Peroxide

Hydrogen peroxide is an antiseptic- so it can help treat minor irritations like cuts or canker sores in the mouth.  It’s also antibacterial and supports against gum disease and sore throats due to bacterial infection.  It also can help whiten your teeth.

 

Essential Oil I Like To Use Is:

  • Tea Tree essential oil

  • Peppermint essential oil

  • Clove Bud essential oil

 

Tea Tree Essential Oil

Tea Tree is antibacterial, antifungal, and supports inflammation reduction.

 

Peppermint Essential Oil

Peppermint oil is antibacterial leaves your mouth feeling cool and fresh.

 

Clove Bud Essential Oil

Clove Bud oil is antibacterial, antifungal, can soothe tooth pain and support against inflammation.

 

Instructions

  1. Combine 2 oz of 3% hydrogen peroxide and 6 oz of water in a bowl. 

  2. Add 10 drops of tea tree,10 drops of peppermint, and 10 drops of clove bud essential oil. 

  3. Then, add the mixture to an 8 oz. amber plastic PET bottle and shake. 

  4. Swish around mouth and gargle for 30 seconds. 

  5. Use 2-3 times a week to avoid irritating your gums. 

  6. Do not swallow mouth wash and stop use if it causes irritation.

 Consult a doctor if using when pregnant or administering to a child.
