HOW TO MAKE YOUR OWN

SHOWER OIL

shower oil.jpg

I really don’t like putting on cream when I get out of the shower.  So, I discovered shower oils.  But I wanted a simple and natural product.

The trouble is, pure oil takes too long to absorb if I shower in the morning and have to run to work.  That’s why I love this recipe.  I get the benefits of oil, but with ultra-fast absorption.

All right... let’s get to it!

Ingredients & Materials

  • 8 oz. Amber Plastic PET Bottle

  • 6 oz. of Water

  • 2 oz. of Fractionated Coconut Oil

Coconut oil is a deep moisturizer and absorbs quickly.  It’s an antioxidant, anti-fungal and can soothe skin irritations such as eczema and psoriasis.

Essential oil I like to use is:

  • Lemongrass essential oil

  • Wild Orange essential oil

  • Tea Tree essential oil

Lemongrass Essential Oil

Lemongrass is a natural cleanser & deodorizer.  It has antiseptic and antioxidant properties.  It can help reduces stress and anxiety, improves blood circulation, and reduces inflammation.

Wild Orange Essential Oil

Wild orange is antibacterial, an antioxidant, and can improve circulation.  It can also increase energy and focus.

Tea Tree Essential Oil

Tea tree is antibacterial, anti-fungal, and a natural lice repellent.

Instructions

  1. Add 6 oz. of water and 2 oz. of fractionated coconut oil to a bowl.

  2. Add 4 drops of lemongrass, 6 drops of wild orange, and 2 drops of tea tree essential oils and stir.

  3. Then, add the mixture to an 8 oz. amber plastic PET bottle.

  4. Shake well, and use

  5. When your shower is done, turn off the water.

  6. Then, place a quarter-sized amount into the palm of your hand.

  7. Be careful to not get spill any into your bathtub or shower.

  8. Continue to rub all over your body.  Use more as needed.

  9. Make sure when you dry off, you only pat your skin dry.

Store in a cool and dry space.  Use within a month.

It’s just that easy!
